GriefGap is not a crisis service
If you or a young person needs help now, contact Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or call 000 in an emergency.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the GriefGap website, book a call with us, or use the GriefGap interactive workbook. GriefGap (ABN 51 354 733 954) is based in Victoria, Australia. By using the website or the workbook, you agree to these terms.
2. What GriefGap is, and isn't
GriefGap is an educational and wellbeing programme that helps students understand grief and build ways to cope. It is not counselling, therapy, medical care or a crisis service, and it does not replace the support of a school's wellbeing team or a health professional. Information on this website is general and is not professional advice for any individual.
3. Working with schools
When a school books GriefGap, the programme is delivered under a separate written agreement with that school. That agreement sets out the price, dates, safeguarding arrangements and each side's responsibilities. If it conflicts with these terms, the school agreement applies.
4. Booking a call
Discovery calls are free and are booked through Calendly. You can reschedule or cancel using the links in your Calendly confirmation email. Please don't share students' names or personal details when you book.
5. The interactive workbook
- Workbook accounts are only for students taking part in a GriefGap programme, set up with their school's agreement and a parent or carer's consent.
- Keep your login private and don't use anyone else's account.
- What you write in your workbook belongs to you. We store it only so you can use the workbook, as explained in our privacy policy.
- The workbook isn't checked by anyone in real time. If you're not safe, or you're worried about someone, tell a trusted adult or call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800.
- We may pause or close an account if it's misused, or when the programme ends, after giving notice to the school.
6. Our content
The GriefGap name, programme, workbook, resources and website content belong to GriefGap. Schools running GriefGap may use the programme materials for that programme. Please don't copy, sell or republish our materials without written permission.
7. Other websites
Our website links to other services, such as Calendly and support services. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this website or relying on its general information. We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or online.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Questions? Contact us at [GriefGap email].
